Adding Myfilmviews as an app on your iPod Touch/iPhone or iPad

The app for Symbian devices has already been available for some time.

There is no myfilmviews app available in Apple’s store, but if you would like to have Myfilmviews as an app on your iPod/iPhone or iPad it’s possible by creating a Web Clip.

Just follow these steps:
1. Open up Safari and direct it to http://myfilmviews.wordpress.com

2. Click on the “+” button

3. Select “Add to Home Screen”

4. Give the app a name

A new icon will now appear on your homescreen allowing you to go directly to Myfilmviews to read my latest blog entries.

Of course you can do this with any web site. Please note that if the site you visit doesn’t provide a standard icon which can be used, a screenshot will be made which is used as image on the homescreen. If this is the case it’s best to zoom in on the logo so you’ll easily recognise it.

You should start by opening Safari. Where exactly do you get stuck? I’ve updated the screenshots.

Great idea. I have been trying to tell my overseas iphone users how to access my blog easily and this description is so going to help. I hope you won’t mind if I use some of the written content? You shall obviously get full credit for it :-)

Also it’s really cool that you have a android app :-)

Of course not! Go right ahead. The app is actually for Symbian. Have looked into an Android app, but would have been way too much effort.
