Moviestars in commercials: Mickey Rourke

Although moviestars make good money doing their movies they sometimes get offered roles in commercials. Many moviestars don’t appear in commercials in the US, but do appear outside of it. In this series I will look at one actor or actress and select a couple of their funny commercials.

With the second entry in this series I will look into some of the commercials Mickey Rourke has done. What’s your favorite?

Daihatsu Charade

Toyota

Suntory

Snickers

Beer without alcohol

BMW Commercial (with a lot of other famous actors)

My personal favorite have to be the beer without alcohol ones.
What’s your favorite?

While I’m not a player, I kinda really love the World of Warcraft ads with Mr. T, Chuck Norris and the likes. They just make me laugh!

Yeah, those are funny. Never played that game myself, but know it would not be something I’d enjoy.

Yeah, seems he did. I also found one which is probably from Japan where he’s fighting a bull while a Nazi in a sidecart is screaming. The quality was a bit too low to post it here unfortunately.

Japanese companies are notorious for hiring famous Hollywood actors, I guess the money must be hard to turn down. My all time faves are the BMW commercials, they’re more like mini movies. It’s so well-done and feature a Bond-esque Clive Owen doing all kinds of cool car chases, what’s not to love?

Yeah and it makes for some very funny and weird commercials! Thanks for commenting Ruth!
