Yeah, i know. A movie with John Travolta, Robin Williams (and a small part by Seth Green)…why would you watch that? None of them have made any really good movies lately. But sometimes i feel like watching a comedy where you know it won’t be a very good movie, but do know there will be some laughs. Old dogs is one of those comedies.
Williams and Travolta play two friends who run a company for sports marketing. Business is going well and they are on the brink of winning a big contract with a Japanese company. But then Williams finds out that he has 2 kids of which he knew nothing about. Of course this doesn’t help with the deal he’s trying to close and makes him end up in various funny situations. It’s a bit of hit and miss. There are however some situations which had me laughing. Examples are the scene with Seth Green in the zoo and a game of golf where Williams took the wrong pills. It was also nice to see Bernie Mac again, even though he only has a small part.
It’s not one of the best movies ever, but it was an enjoyable hour and a half.
