On February 23, 1983 actress Emily Blunt was born in London, England. She went to the Ibstock Place School and when she was 16 she studied at Hurtwood House, which has a very good performing arts programme. An agent discovered her there and she performed in a play opposite of Judi Dench. Her performance stood out and she was named “Best Newcomer”. She appeared in various other plays and made the move into TV and film in 2003. She has since appeared in many movies including The Devil Wears Prada, Charlie Wilson’s War, The Adjustment Bureau, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and Looper.
What’s your favorite Emily Blunt role?
Have to admit, Emily Blunt is yet to make a real impact on me. Sure, she was good and very likeable in The Adjustment Bureau and very good in Looper. But she never jumps out at me.
Lately she’s been growing on me and I see her as an actress we will see a lot more of in the future.
I love Emily Blunt. Enjoyed her in the 2 that Jaina mentioned. and, admittedly, I like watching her in her role in the Five Year Engagement.
such a beautiful actress that still has her best roles ahead of her. Great pick, Nostra! Happy Friday
Nice to hear Terrence! I also enjoyed her in Five Year Engagment. Happy Friday to you too!
I really love her, I’m so glad she is finally delivering memorable performances this year, especially with Looper, after starring in so many generic romantic comedies.
Yeah, she’s slowly making her mark.
I thought she was great in Prada, but it wasn’t till Looper that I liked her š
I can’t remember her in Prada, even though I have seen that movie.

Hi Nostra, I’m back! š Oooh I love miss Blunt, she is so lovely. I think my fave roles are The Young Victoria and Jane Austen Book Club, she’s great in Looper too. Hope to see more of her!
Glad to hear you are back Ruth. How was your holiday?
Have not seen those early movies, but they are not my genre š I’m sure we will see more of her.
