I haven’t seen a lot of his work, but based on what I’ve seen, he’s a pretty underrated actor. I wish he has more roles similar to his role in The Dark Knight…or maybe I just haven’t seen his works where he plays a bad guy.
He was excellent in Rabbit Hole as in other movies but maybe he does not stand out enough to get more roles in big movies.
Great write up! I think Thank You For Smoking is my favorite performance of his. I also enjoyed him in The Dark Knight, and I thought he was very good (although very creepy and uncomfortable) in Towelhead.
Thank you Brittani. Thank You For Smoking is a standout role indeed! Have not seen Towelhead myself.
Cupertino isn’t that way Apple is located?
I do think it is 🙂
Thank You For Smoking is my favorite Eckhart performance. Love its dark comedy.
Yeah, really a great movie. Remember enjoying it a lot.
His best role still remains 1997’s In the Company of Men. Great film.
Have not seen that one yet!
The Dark Knight is my favorite movie he’s in but I’d say his best role is Thank You For Smoking.
Those two are the ones I’d also pick!
I quite like Eckhart, he’s quite versatile. He’s great in Thank You For Smoking, and of course in The Dark Knight as Harvey Dent.
Yeah, cool actor indeed. I know I’m one of the few people who enjoyed Battle L.A. even though he didn’t have to flex his acting muscle there.
