Adrien Brody was born on April 14, 1973 in New York. When he was growing up he loved magic and even performed as “The Amazing Adrien” at children’s birthday parties. Later he was enrolled in acting classes by his parents to make sure he wasn’t hanging associating with “dangerous” children. The acting lessons payed of as he appeared in a play and a PBS television film when he was 13. His work in movies continued and he appeared in films like Restaurant, Summer of Sam and The Thin Red Line. It was his role in The Pianist which earned him recognition and fame and an Oscar for Best Actor. After this he played in The Village, King Kong, The Darjeeling Limited, Hollywoodland, Splice, The Brothers Bloom and Predators amongst many others.

That’s easy. Salvador Dali in Midnight in Paris. He is so funny in that role as I also think he is great in The Darjeeling Limited as I’m looking forward to his performance in The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Yeah, he was very funny in that role even though it is a very small part. I loved him in Brothers Bloom and of course The Pianist, which probably is his best.
Did you ever see the film Wrecked (2010)? Pretty sure it is on Netflix. While not my favorite performance I thought it was pretty amazing how he carries the majority of the film himself.
No I have not seen it (although I have heard of it). So it is worth checking out?
Most memorable Brody role was Cpl. Fife in The Thin Red Line.
Sadly it’s memorable for all the wrong reasons!
Never have seen The Thin Red Line, so why is it memorable for the wrong reasons?
The Brothers Bloom is one of my favourite films, and in turn that makes it one of my favourite Adrian Brody performances. It’s interesting to hear of his love of magic here.
Yeah, I also love that film because it is so different.
