For me, my favorite John Goodman performance is a tie between Sully from Monsters Inc. and the Charlie Meadows character in Barton Fink.
Sully is an excellent choice. It’s been a long time since I last saw Barton Fink, so really can’t remember anything about his role in that.
I can’t pick one. So many of his performances that I really really enjoy. Barton Fink, The Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona, Damages all come to mind. Yes, even him in Coyote Ugly!
Never saw Coyote Ugly and was surprised when I was making this one to see he was in it. Big Lebowski is probably my favorite one, seeing him acting that crazy 🙂
I’ve got to say The Big Lebowski, which is one of the best comic performances I’ve seen.
Yeah, he is stunning in that role.
I’ve always liked John Goodman as an actor but I’m not sure he’s always picked the best movies to do. I like his work with the Coens though.
He has a huge body of work though so it is no surprise there will be movies in there which are not as good.
