If there is one movie series which has spoken to the imagination, it is James Bond. That’s not surprising if you consider the fact that this secret agent always is well dressed and does everything a lot of men dream about.
007 drives beautiful cars (with highlights in the form of his DB5 or his Lotus which could transform into a submarine), has the best gadgets, sleeps with beautiful women and besides that also is very dangerous “license to kill”. There are no bad guys who are able to outsmart him and he does away with them in style. He’s a man who activates your primal survival instinct and had become a pop icon. A character who had been the subject of many exhibitions and even has his own stamp.
When it comes to the movies I’m mainly a fan of the films starring Daniel Craig, who managed to portray the character more realistically in the reboot of the franchise. Casino Royale in my opinion is one of the best Books films there is. Later this year will be treated to the fourth entry in the series with Craig, in the form of Spectre. A movie in very much looking forward to. Especially after the spectacle which was Sky fall, which had some breathtaking and shocking moments.
If you live in the UK and would like to feel like the British spy there are various ways you could do that. You could rent an Aston Martin, but you could also done like James Bond. In his history of almost 24 movies and various books he had dinner at various places in the UK and the rest of Europe, which GoEuro has nicely summarised.
