Tracers (2015)

Review Tracers

Taylor Lautner has become famous for his role in the various Twilight Saga films, in which he played the role of Jacob Black. Although he played in Abduction after the Twilight movies he hasn’t succeeded yet to become an actor who gets viewers to the cinema. It seems that with Tracers he still hasn’t manage to change that status.

Review Tracers

Cam (Taylor Lautner) is a bicycle messenger in New York, who works hard to pay of his high debt to the Chinese mafia. When he gets involved in an accident because of a group of parkour runners his bike can be thrown away. He decides to find the group and join them. He has to prove himself though, because the work they do can only be done with people they fully trust. Cam gets to know the female within the group, Nikki (Marie Avgeropoulos), something which could mean trouble.

Review Tracers

Fans of parkour and action will be able to enjoy both, as the action has been shot well, with the camera closely following the runners. Unfortunately the story built around the action is very bad and isn’t interesting at any moment, resulting in a forgettable B-movie

  1. Taylor Lautner is someone that is never going to have a long career. He’s just a pretty boy that will always be known for being in some shitty franchise.

James Beradinelli explained exactly why Abduction didn’t work at all. It all plays into the world of action films. Who is the core audience for action films? Guys. Do guys want to see an action movie that stars Lautner? Hell no. That’s why it bombed.

Plus, Lautner is way too limited as an actor to ever be taken seriously and he should just do some television or something. Otherwise, the kid will never go anywhere.

    • That is a very valid point. He doesn’t have the physique to be an action star guys will go out and see.

We’ll see what type of career he’ll have…

  2. I can’t stand this kid. He’s truly the worst thing in Twilight which speaks volumes considering so many horrible things in that franchise. It pains me that he gets roles whilst so many perfectly capable actors out there are unemployed.
