Casino Royale
It is no secret that James Bond likes to try his luck once in a while. The agent can be seen at the casino in classic movies like Goldeneye and Diamonds Are Forever, where he plays baccarat and craps. But the most famous casino scenes from Mr Bond’s long career comes from Casino Royale, a 2006 film directed by Martin Campbell. In Casino Royale, Bond’s mission is to uncover and take down a private banker named Le Chiffre (played by Mads Mikkelsen) that funds a criminal organization. To do this, he has to beat Le Chiffre in a game of high stakes poker. The movie ends with a famous poker scene where Bond beats the villain’s full house with a straight flush.
Hard Eight
Hard Eight is a 1986 drama directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The movie has a star-studded cast that includes Philip Baker Hall, John C. Reilly, Gwyneth Paltrow and Samuel L. Jackson. The plot follows Sydney, a professional gambler, and John, a losing gambler who lost all his money playing in Las Vegas. Sydney decides to take John under his wings and show him his best gambling tricks. Things go well until John meets and falls for cocktail waitress Clementine, played by Gwyneth Paltrow Fun fact: Hard Eight is named after a dice roll in craps, which is when both dice land on four.

Casino is one of the most celebrated crime movies of all time. Directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese, the plot revolves around ex-gangster Sam "Ace" Rothstein, played by Robert De Niro. Sam has settled down and lives a comfortable and quiet life, but that all changes when Nicky Santoro shows up and asks his old friend for a favour.
