Hilary Swank was born on July 30th, 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska. As she was growing up she did a lot of sports and went to the Junior Olympics as part of the swimming team. She also did gymnastics. Her first acting was in a school play version of The Jungle Book and liked it so much she kept active in theater. At age 15 she moved to Los Angeles with her mother to pursue an acting career. She appeared in several TV shows, including Harry and the Hendersons, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Growing Pains, Bevely Hills 90210 and Van Wilder. Her first leading role in a movie was in The Next Karate Kid. She has since appeared in many movies, including 11:14, The Core, The Black Dahlia, Freedom Writer, P.S. I Love You and Million Dollar Baby, which earned her an Oscar.
What’s your favorite Hilary Swank role?
Where have you gone Hillary Swank?!?!? She looked like the next big then then “poof!
I never saw her in a lot of movies, but after her Oscar I was expecting to see more of her.
I don’t think I’ve ever been a big fan of her. While I think Kate Winslet should have won an Oscar in 2004 for Eternal Sunshine, I’ll have to go with Million Dollar Baby.
I haven’t either, but that’s because I haven’t seen enough of her work…
Not really a fan nor a non-fan of Swank. One of those actresses that’s never really hit my radar.
So she needs some more roles in good movies
Okay, I’ll be the first fan of Hilary to comment. Yay. Great photo highlight of her, Nostra
Thanks le0pard!
My favorite role is in Boys Don’t Cry.
Have not seen that.
