Dave Chappelle is one of my favourite comedians ever (as is Chris Rock). This movie, which was made far before he became really famous with his own show already show how good he is in his timing of jokes. In the movie Dave Chappelle’s Block Party (which i have given an 8, it really is a great music movie with lots of funny moments) he told how important timing is when he compares it to playing music.
I saw the movie ages ago and wanted to see it again. Although it’s a movie that will surely be popular to people who like to get high, it’s also a movie you can see if you don’t. Continue reading

Annie Hall (1977)
Woody Allen’s Annie Hall ranks high within the IMDB top 250 (it’s on place 132 at the moment). I heard it was one of the best romcoms around and the it won the Oscar for best movie, beating Star Wars. After reading about these facts i just had to see this movie. You can imagine my expectations were very high. Continue reading
Valentine’s day (2010)
Valentine’s day is one of the most commercial days of the year (like christmas), this movie also tried to earn some money by making a movie about it. The number of well-known actors that play in this movie can’t be counted on one hand (Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher and many more). Continue reading
The Losers (2010)
I’m a big fan of heist and action movies. This movie, based on a comic, also is part of this genre so i definitely wanted to see it. Continue reading
Kick-ass (2010)
Does a superhero need to have special powers? Various superheroes have already shown this is not necessary (Iron Man or Batman). But what if you don’t have a large bank account to create special suits to suit your needs? Well, you order a diving suit online and call yourself Kick-ass, like Dave Lizewski does in this movie.

Old dogs (2009)
Yeah, i know. A movie with John Travolta, Robin Williams (and a small part by Seth Green)…why would you watch that? None of them have made any really good movies lately. But sometimes i feel like watching a comedy where you know it won’t be a very good movie, but do know there will be some laughs. Old dogs is one of those comedies. Continue reading
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)
A trip….those are the only words that can be used to perfectly summarise this whole movie. The movie tells the story of two friends that go to Las Vegas to write an article about a race. They really don’t manage to do a very good job about this because they are constantly using and abusing a big number of different drugs. Continue reading
Life of Brian (1979)
When it comes to British humour the Monty Python team is one of the best. Well known for their weird sketches, obviously simple humour and absurdity. In this movie the 6 member play about 40 different roles. Is the Life of Brian a movie that you have to when you are a Monty Python fan? Continue reading
Cop out (2010)
Kevin Smith, who has written and directed movies like Clerks 1 and 2, Zack and Miri make a porno, Dogma and his various “An evening with Kevin Smith” DVDs, has now directed Cop Out. The thing that is special about this movie is that it’s the first movie where he did not write the story himself. Is this a movie which you can not miss or is it a movie only for the Kevin Smith fans? Continue reading
Juno (2007)
After watching both Thank you for smoking and Up in the Air i also had to see another Jason Reitman movie, Juno (after suggestions from other). Ellen Page is Juno, a 16 year old girl that finds out she is pregnant. Is Juno just as good as the other two movies or is it as painful as giving birth? Continue reading
