Choi Min-Sik was born on January 22, 1962 in Seoul, South Korea. He started out acting in on stage and on television. In 1992 he started appearing in movies. His first commercially succesfull role was in Shiri. Internationally he became famous with his role in Old Boy. He is one of my favorite actors and to me can easily measure up to acting giants like De Niro and Pacino.
