At the end of Jersey Boys one of the characters states that in the end it was all about following the music, feeling that urge to keep making it. It is a feeling we all experience in one way or another. As a movie blogger I definitely can relate because you feel a bit empty if you are not watching and writing about film. It is a creative process as you want to keep creating new articles about interesting subjects others will enjoy. I love that feeling, having that drive, but it important you make sure it remains interesting and keeps challenging you. Clint Eastwood did that by making the move of directing besides acting and has been very successful with it. With Jersey Boys he wants to bring the popular musical to the big screen. Continue reading

Trouble with the Curve (2012)
A McDonalds hamburger. That’s the first thing I thought of after seeing Trouble with the Curve during the 7th PAC festival in which movies are previewed which will be released over here in the coming months. All of movies were announced ahead of time except this one. I was hoping I’d get a chance to already see Looper, The Master or Killing Them Softly. So a movie about baseball was not something I was expecting, but since the movie has some well-known actors like Clint Eastwood, John Goodman, Robert Patrick, Justin Timberlake and actress Amy Adams I was interested to see it. Flags of Our Fathers showed the American side of the battle to conquer the island Iwo Jima, which was a very important island for strategic reasons as it would give the Americans a base to start their attack on Japan.
