Seeking Justice (2011) review
Through the years Oscar winner Nicholas Cage has slowly seemed to have lost his focus when it comes to starring in amazing movies. A lot of people are disappointed in a lot of his later movies, but personally I’m a big fan and usually watch anything he’s in, even know if I know in advance what I’m going into. To me Cage is just entertaining to watch, no matter what he stars in. If you are not a fan though, is Seeking Justice a movie that’s worth seeing?

Seeking Justice (2011) review

The story is about Will Gerard (Nicolas Cage), a teacher at a school who is happy with his wife Laura (January Jones). Everything changes though when his wife is raped. While he’s at the hospital he is approached by Simon (Guy Pearce) who offers him an opportunity to have the rapist killed. In exchange he needs to do something for him in the future. He agrees and it’s the start of a thriller where he ends up in a dark web created by a secret organisation.

Seeking Justice (2011)

If you are not a fan of Nicholas Cage then this movie is not going to change your opinion. The idea behind the story is interesting (which is that “normal” people are used as killers because the organisation helped them), but the execution of it isn’t as smooth as it could have been. The story has a few plotholes (one of the biggest ones at the beginning) and you can predict where it will all go. It’s not a masterpiece you won’t miss anything should you decide to skip it. If you do plan to see it though, it’s a fairly entertaining thriller to throw on on a Friday evening.

Score: 7

    • If I had been in another mood I really could have scored it very differently, although I doubt it would ever appear in my bottom 5 though…
